There are many local races in October, but here's one that deserves some attention. It's held near downtown Mooresville and is timed by our very own DARTer Chris Goodrum. Chris is one of the few folks who actually was born and raised in the area. We don't see Chris running much during the summer months, as he and his wife Kristi have a ten-acre farm in Mt. Mourne. On Saturdays you can find Chris at the Davidson Farmers Market selling his produce.
On Saturday, Oct. 29th Chris, along with his family, will be doing the timing at the Pumpkin Run 8k. It's a 9:00am start time at the War Memorial Building, 220 N. Maple Street. Registration fee for the 8K is $25 (by Oct. 10) or $30 (after Oct. 10 or on race day). Race day Registration will be from 7:00-8:30am.
